The 1st Saturday of the month is approaching quickly. And you know what that means?

It’s November (or should that be MoBvember) and time to get together at the Eastwood Leisure Centre at, or about, 7:30 PM.

June Meeting is on tonight!

Good morning MoBsters;

The June 2022 monthly meeting is on tonight. COVID is still a thing, so, please be safe and do not attend if you have any symptoms.

Otherwise, come along tonight and spend some quality time with the MoB, spread some plastic or resin happiness, share your latest build, and enhance the modelling community here in the ‘Rat.

February 2022 Meeting is on! Saturday 05 February, starting at 7:30 PM

Mark Pilbeam has advised that the inaugural meeting of 2022 for the MoB is on this coming Saturday, 05 February 2022.

The Room at the Eastwood Leisure Centre has been booked from 7:30 PM.

So far as Mark is aware, the same safety protocols as 2021 apply. Please see the text in italics below for details.

Mark may not be able to attend, in which case he has deputised former El Presidente ‘Zim’ to act in his place.

remember that we are limited in the numbers for the room.

Please contact Mark, in the first instance, to let him know if you are attending. As stated in 2021, this is on a first-come, first-served basis.

After a long period of repeat closing and openings, we finally have some great news – Eastwood Leisure Complex is re-opening with groups able to return from Monday 1^st November.

Proof of vaccination or, proof of medical exemption, is a Victorian Government regulation and a condition of entry.

Noncompliance by any group puts the entire facility at risk of ongoing closures.

The opening of our facility is dependent on proof of vaccination for all staff and visitors.

The following requirements apply for meeting attendees:

1. All visitors to the complex are to check in with the QR Code system
2. Anyone attending the complex must be double vaccinated
3. Proof of vaccination is mandatory for all attendees over the age of 16
4. It is the responsibility of the meeting coordinator to check vaccination status.

Capacity limits for each room is set at 1 person per 4sq meters. Capacity limits for each room is shown below:

• Meeting room 3 = 10 persons,
• Meeting Room 2 = 4 persons,
• Meeting Room 4 = 12 persons,
• Training Rooms 1 & 2 = 12 persons,
• Main Hall = 32 persons,
• Activity room = 35 persons, and
• Multi-purpose room = 40 persons.

Groups attending the ELC should also remember that:

• All groups must still adhere to their Covid Safe plans.
• Please remember to ask the basic questions, and anyone who is not well is required to stay at home.
• Please ensure that hand sanitisers are used and that cleaning of high contact areas and equipment is undertaken at the end of each session.
• Face masks are still mandatory indoors.
• Please be aware of others in the facility and remember to maintain social distancing where possible.

 

 

Good News – November 6th meeting is on!

Short of an alien invasion, from Mars; more earthquakes; or a Zombie apocalypse, we can finally have a meeting this coming Saturday, November 6th.

Normally we are in Room 4 – and that will be capped at 12 Modellers due to the 4 square metre per-person rules in place.

To attend; we need you to provide advance notice of your attendance. To this please ring Mark on 0412 272 524 before this Thursday.

If we end up with more than 12 Mobster attendees we will have to use the main hall.

Due to the continuation of the lockdown, the September meeting set for tonight (September 4th), has been cancelled in line with government regulations.

July 3rd Monthly Meeting is on, with a caveat

Thanks to all of you who’ve asked about the Monthly Meeting on July 3rd. Here’s the response I got from our President, Mark Pilbeam:

As of today, the meeting is ok to go, as long as less than 24 people appear and all are masked.

So, if you intend to go to the meeting, please contact Mark Pilbeam, and let him know. You can also read the requirements, from an earlier post for the Eastwood Leisure Centre, here.

We’re pretty sure that there won’t be 24 people turn up, but you never know. Just don’t be person number 25.
