May 05 – 2022: Newsletter’s uploaded and the site is up-to-date!

Firstly my apologies for being behind in website updates.

I’ve been on a long and winding COVID journey since the end of November 2021. It took 6 months to get through, over, and back to where I was at the start of it all. Work has been my primary focus, and all other commitments have taken a back seat while I’ve been repairing. Now, onto the good stuff.

Updates:

This morning I’ve added the following to the website:

• Newsletters/2021 has had the following Model Maker’s added:
  • 243 – Model Maker November 2021
  • 244 – Model Maker December 2021
• Newsletters/2022 has been created and published and the following Model Makers were linked there for download:
  • 245 – Model Maker February 2022
  • 246 – Model Maker March 2022
  • 247 – Model Maker April 2022
  • 248 – Model Maker May 2022

Issue 250 is coming in June!

We are rapidly approaching issue number 250 of the Model Maker. That is a big deal. This is a great opportunity to showcase our talents, look back at our history as a club, and perhaps look to our future as well. What are your thoughts on issue 250? Do you have photos, anecdotes, and articles that you can contribute?

On that theme, our esteemed editor is always reaching out to get more content for every issue. Do you have a:

• Project that you’ve just completed, or are still working on,
• Tip, or an idea to share,
• Website, retailer or supplier that you’d like to recommend?

Why not let the Editor know. He’d be pleased to use whatever you have available.

The July newsletter has been added to the 2021 Newsletter page.

These serve as a source should you not be receiving them from our esteemed editor, via email.

For those of you who are new to this site, Ballarat, or are visiting from Facebook and would like to access the newsletters, you must be a financial member of the club.

2021 Newsletters have been added

Apologies for the delay in getting these uploaded. It has been that sort of year, unfortunately.

Tonight I uploaded all of the current 2021 newsletters to the site for your reading pleasure, if you have not been receiving them from our esteemed editor, via email.

For those of you who are new to Ballarat or the site, and have expressed a desire to access the newsletters, you must be a financial member of the club. (More on that later on once we do a little back of house working out).

Newsletters uploaded (September – December 2020)

Hi all;

I’m hoping that this first post of 2021 finds you healthy and that you are bearing up during the pandemic.

For right now (January 2021) we appear to be going back to the reality of living with a nasty virus. I’m not sure yet what is ahead for our meeting in February. As son as I am advised by the club management ill let you know here.

Late, but finally uploaded, the September, October, November and December 2020 newsletters have been uploaded.

If you’ve not used the menu system before choose Newsletter > 2020 to open the current year’s page. Click on the link and you can download the current issue. If you don’t have your secret-squirrel, member-only, password to gain access, email the MoBmeister from the site and I’ll get back to you.

Newsletter articles, images needed

Our newsletter editor has put out the call for articles and images. Without a few articles each month the newsletter is going to get very short. And with all that extra time on your hands he’s hoping that ou might be able to bang out an article or two, or pass along a photo or two.something to read in place of our monthly meetings. Photos and descriptions of your models, a quick note about how you’ve built them, tips, tricks or anything else you’d like to share would be greatly appreciated.

We seem to be coming to terms with having to stay indoors and model. Some of us are more comfortable than others I suppose. Still, it is for the greater good so stay at home, stay safe and model!

Even though the zombie apocalypse is upon us, and the undead are still having house parties and hanging out at the beach, we at MoB central are doing all we can to support those of you living through the end of economic prosperity.

To that effect, I just wanted to let you know that the April Newsletter has been uploaded to the site. You should have received an email containing the said newsletter. If you did not then you can visit the menu, choosing Newsletter > 2020 to open the current year’s page. Click on the link and you can download the current issue.

MoB is on again this Saturday night and to ensure that we have all of the current newsletters available I’ve uploaded all 2019 issues up to September 2019.

2019 newsletters uploaded

Hi all;

Doing some long overdue maintenance to the site and I’ve uploaded the current 2019 newsletters to the site.

Members can now access February, March and April newsletters by:

1. Hovering your mouse pointer over the NEWSLETTER heading (at the top the page),
2. Scrolling down to 2019 at the bottom of the list and clicking your mouse,
3. Entering your secret squirrel password (using your secret agent decoder ring), and
4. Clicking on the issue link that you’d like to read or download

As always our newsletters are provided in PDF format so you’ll need a reader to open the files. There are many, including those included in the better browsers, take your pick and enjoy.
